Style Report: SB50 Half-time Concert with Beyonce

This year’s Superbowl Halftime concert headlined the band Coldplay along with features from Beyonce and Bruno Mars…

Coldplay performed three of their famous songs, one being the groovy hit “Adventure of a Lifetime” from their latest album that dropped early December called “A Head full of Dreams”.  The dress code of the band was relaxed, with a touch of colour, to simulate the sound of hits performed.

Enter Bruno Mars and his merry men dressed in all-black leather from head to toe and accessorised with heavy gold jewelry, reminding us of a 70’s vibe that echoes in the rhythm and dance moves defining “Uptown Funk”. His solo performance ends off with the line “Don’t believe me? Just watch….” Giving way to Queen Bee dressed in her signature performance style with an all-black leotard and a touch of gold detailing the military style ensemble pairing perfectly with fishnet stockings and classic ankle boots.

She is distinguished as the leader of her fierce, musical army by wearing a jacket with replica bullets seamed into it. This display of soldiering brings to mind a war cry of sorts aimed at her haters and goes hand in hand with the message of her new track “Formation” released just a day before the SB50 performance. The song features lyrics such as “Haters corny with that Illuminati mess” and “I like my baby hair with baby hair and afro”.

A spectacular performance by great artists! (watch the video in link below)
